i finally know what is rocking my progress

I have a "yeast overgrowth" in my mouth, sinuses and intestines that is causing me to crave sugar and yeast products. That really does explain what my trouble is from going right back to where I was. Now taking care of it is the hard part. I know I got it from taking 4 months of strong anti-boitics a while back, and not taking pro-boitics to keep my natural bactrias strong, which allowed the yeast to take over. This may explain why other folks I know could never stay on the VLCD while taking hCG too. They needed to deal with the yeast overgrowth first. My symptoms are hives (that is a recent thing), red hands, thrush on the tongue, of course the craving, a sinus infection that wouldn't go away (fungal treatment is working now), and the test is to, first thing in the morning, spit from the mouth in a clear cup or glass and watch for strings and how long it takes to migrate to the bottom of the cup. Spit is from mouth (saliva) and not the throat (phelgm) and you can just save the saliva for a couple minutes first. If you have no yeast, it will stay floating. The more you have, the quicker it will go to the bottom. (5 minutes to 1 hour) and the more strings you get, the worse. Mine went to the bottom in 1 minute and that was shocking to the health store lady. Their treatment did absolutely nothing. The Dr prescribed something, but too little and after a week, I am right back where I was, though at first it made my hives disappear, they did slowly come back after a week. I will follow up after the yeast is taken care of.

Would this have anything to do with HCG being taken through your mouth? I am considering the sublingual HCG and have been reading your blog. Thanks! I am just really nervous. I love to see your progress, though!

Hi Dan! I have been considering doing sublingual HCG but I am very nervous. I do love to read your blog, though, and see your progress. Could the newly found yeast overgrowth or other complications have been caused by sublingual HCG? Thanks! Sarah

I think the yeast infection was from anti-biotics. It probably got better from doing the hCG and VLCD, because it isn't being fed at all. However, not being able to control myself during phase 3 allowed it to thrive. MUST do phase 3 right or this will just need to be redone. My brother says the whole key to the diet is phase 3.

Hi Dan, it's good to see you back blogging! My mom and I followed your blog in the fall and got lots of inspiration during our first cycle. I had a hard time staying on the VLCD and have put back on all of the weight I lost in the beginning. I suspect I have the same problem with yeast you're talking about. Any suggestions on getting rid of it?? Thanks in advance.

I was so happy to find your very sane and reasonable You Tube directions for mixing the sublingual hcg formula. I had done a Dr. assisted weight loss program with Releana which cost me $350.00 per one month course. I did two months with that Dr. then looked for an alternative as I had not lost as much weight as I wanted and could not afford another round at that cost. I lost a total of 30 pounds with not too much difficulty.
I am a 54 year old woman and had almost given in to the idea that I had to live with my post-menopausal, matronly body. The diet actually sculpted me back into my old shape.Unfortunately I had a bicycle accident and broke my wrist in late December and two months of self indulgence took a toll. I have returned to hcg and the diet to get right back down. lynn

Dear Dan thanks so much for your insite and information on the hcg diet. I was very discouraged after doing research, not knowing what website to trust. I plan on following your diet as soon as I clear up yeast overgrowth. I found a website that gives a picture of the yeast test I could give you the address if you would like. Mine matched almost perfectly. I am taking acidophilus and plan to try activia before the diet. Did you ever find something to cure your problem? I wish you much success and hope you don't give up!! Thank you again, Rosemarie

Rosemarie,
After taking the Doctor presribed medicine and a long course of the health foods store's best product, I realize this is something that is going to take 8 months to 1 year to beat and the only real way to do it is by taking the probiotics, like acidophilus and eating good.
I am thinking that I may just start the hCG again and keep taking probiotics and will suggest people add probiotics to their normal course for the diet. It can't hurt.
Please post the link to the test.

Nope. Can try going straight to their web site and trying to find it or go on Google Shopping and search for it. This does happen from time to time and when I get time I go and clean up the links and redirect them to a place with it.

Chris,
Don't know how your comment slipped through the cracks. In case you get the response...

I have been pumping pro-biotics for a long time now and it has helped some. A diet low in acid and at least ph neutral is also called for. That is what the simeons protocol diet is, so I am going to try to kick the last of it while doing the diet again and have started. I plan to take pro-biotics as I diet this time.

Hi Dan Finally started the diet. Lost 10 pounds in the first 8 days.

thanks so much for the video, it was a big help! nothing going on this week still following it to the letter. Have the C problem, any suggestions? Rocky

Is C craving?
It could be many things. First off is water. Are you drinking enough water? 8 cups or more. No less. More if you work outside or where you sweat or work out while on the diet. You need water to convert the empty cell now devoid of fat that your body used for energy.
Loading the first three days is also really important. And I mean porking out on the most fatty, sugary stuff until you can't eat any more. Double, even triple eating. If you didn't do this right, you will have a rocky first week or two. Stick in there. Once past it will be normal. Remember, it is worth sticking it out and not cheating.
Next is consistency. It is really important and just switching between red meat and chicken or fish is a calorie hit and can cause a little craving, but that normally lags 2 days. The body preplans fat utilization, but it plans a couple days out, so cheating or changes in what you eat affects you a couple days down the road. Stick it out and you are fine in another day though, if that is the case.
Yeast craves sugar and simple carbs. Have you tested yourself? Are you taking probiotics? Take a ton of them and see if it cures your problem (I take 200 billion per day, 100 bil morning & night).
Finally is the amount of hCG. If none of the above makes sense for you, try doubling the amount of hCG you are taking. You will go through it quicker, but you may need just a bit more than the standard dose. Remember it takes between 2 or 3 days to get the extra in your system.
Let me know if you pin it down.

Hi dan, I should have been more specific. Not cravings I'm doing fine as long as I take it within 12 hours if I go over I notice a little hunger pang. No, for the other problem I drink a lot of water even warm water with lemon. I finally broke down and took a laxative nothing. I know I am not putting much food in so I don't expect daily but two weeks is starting to worry me. Rocky

I did the calorie loading and read Dr. Simeon's manuscript about 10 times so I wouldn't make any mistakes. No, for the other problem I drink a lot of water even warm water with lemon. Oh. I understand. This is addressed in Dr. Simeons mauscript. I'd need to look it up. Never happened to me.
