march 31, 2008 - day 75 (weight 214.6-down 43.9)

Gained 0.2 lbs. Ate correctly today, with real chicken-sliced, cherry tomatoes, an orange and grissini for lunch. Had chicken, a tomato, and apple and grissini's for dinner. I used the deli scale to weigh the tomatoes to get close to enough for 5 days at 4 1/2 oz. per day. I had noticed that when I eat chicken lunch meat on trips, etc., that I don't lose any weight. This morning I went to pick some up, only this time I looked on the back for ingredients. Viola! Corn starch and sugar and other no, no stuff. Same for them all. I went to the deli counter and they had boneless skinless chicken breast with no preservatives, so I bought that. I am curious to see if I lose weight. MUCH more expensive, but heck, one lunch out would be this much, and this is enough for a week of lunches.

Gained 0.8 lbs. I think I know why - I am bad. Was good for one meal today and bad for one meal. Well, there's always tomorrow.

No change from the last time I was able to weigh. Did not eat right though. Maybe tomorrow?

Again, I am on travel. I had a problem, in that I didn't have a lunch bag with me and since I was flying, I didn't try to eat on the diet today, but ate more normal, though I had 6 oz. of chicken, with asparagus, broccoli and diced tomatoes at Macaroni Grill, which is pretty close. My son made me macaroni and cheese for dinner, and I wasn't going to turn it down, it was such a thoughtful gesture. Anyway, we'll see what the culimination of all this is.

Down 0.8 lbs. Travel for the next 3 days. Am eating chicken lunch meat, tomatoes, oranges and grissini's for lunch and dinner.

Up 0.6 lbs, but I'll take that. It'll come back off in a hurry. Lunch was taco salad (lettuce, tomato, cucmbers, very lean ground sirloin) and an apple. Dinner was cheating.

Down 1.2 lbs from yesterday. Hope to keep this up. Lunch was chicken salad, with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, a new salad dressing Lynn concocted (kind of a Japanese type) and an orange. I am out of grissini's at work, so I will have to skip that. Dinner was chaeating.

Finally a good day and a loss of 2.2 lbs!! Lunch was a chicken salad (lettuce & tomatoes), an apple, and grissini's. Dinner was tilapia, asparagus, an orange and grissini's.

nolan's final before and after pictures

My brother Nolan started mid September on the Pounds and Inches protocol at 234.5 lbs and is now 175 lbs and back to normal life. He finished mid January and has been working out.

march 18, 2008 - day 62 (weight 218.2-down 40.3)

Again, going the wrong direction with a 0.6 lb gain. If I know I need calories (I am really hungry), I haven't been trying to eat healthy. I just eat those things I have really missed. I figure my body needs the calories and what I put on will come right off. It may add a day at the end, but at least I "scratched the proverbial itch" and in doing so, I may actually last the entire time, as opposed to just crashing at some point, although it will take longer to get to the end than if i could both behave and continue. The problem for me may be continuing, so I won't sweat it. Hunger was completely under control and I even forgot to eat my grissini for lunch. Had strawberries, cucumber and tomato, and steak for lunch. Dinner was chicken, a tomato, grissinis and an orange.

Up 0.6 lbs and VERY hungry. I know it is the lack of hCG as opposed to immunity. Just need to hold on a day more and I will start getting back to normal. At good for lunch (had an orange, grissini's, cucumber, tomato, and steak for lunch.), but ate Chinese for dinner. Haven't been this hungry in several months! Dan

Gained back the 0.8 lbs. Am more hungry than I've been since I started, and I know that it is because I skipped the 2 days on travel, and then missed a dose the next two days, so the hCG is low in my system. I will just eat to satisfy the hunger, and realize the hCG will build up again in a day or two.

Down 0.8 lbs in spite of the cheating. Probably from not drinking enough water, wich will come back to get me. Taco salad for lunch and a dinner out for dinner.

OK. Even with the Cinnabon, I am at my weight from 4 days ago. I was good again for lunch and dinner, but had some dessert. We'll see how much trouble I get from that!

I did good for lunch (repeat from last two days), but at the airport I walked past a Cinnabon one to many time and succumb to the temptation ("Beware of the wayward 'rolls,' son. She waits on the street corner, her lips dripping with 'icing.'). King David may have given such advice to Solomon, if they had Cinnabons back then.

On travel without my scale, so I don't know where I am at. Had turkey slices, tomatoes, grissini's and an apple on the plane and an orange, tomatoes and grissini for dinner. I forgot to eat my chicken slices, but I was not hungry.

Even with the breakfast and ice cream, I am down 0.6 lbs. Gotta love that. Had steak, cucumbers, tomatoes, an orange and grissini's for lunch and a birthday dinner for dinner. I finally scanned the Transformations Clinic diet plan and linked it to the menu at left.

Lost the 0.8 lbs and back down to 217.6 lbs. Went out to breakfast for my birthday (which is on Tuesday). I will also be eating my favorite dinner and banana cream pie for dessert tomorrow, so I may gain a couple here over the next couple. Had Steak Tips, asparagas and an orange for dinner.

march 8, 2008 - day 52 (weight 218.4-down 40.1)

OK, going the wrong direction here. Two days of big time cheating netted me a 0.8 lb weight gain. I am going to post before and after pictures, to show my progress at this point. I will update the after picture from time to time. Lunch was turkey lunch meat (I know,not allowed, but it is what Lynn made, so it'll have to do). Also lettuce, two tangerines (again, not allowed, but I eat what I am served), and grissini's. For dinner Lynn made me a broccoli bake. OMGosh! This is AWESOME!! We will have this for YEARS to come, it is that good!! I posted the recipe today as well. I also had an orange. The Broccoli Bake had everything else I am allowed, combined. Man, I can't stop thinking about it and I am pleasantly satisfied!! Can't wait for that again!! By the way, I am making very careful in both shots to stand natural and not hold anything in, so you see exactly what I really look like. Also the pics are before the same door and are not stretched or warped at all. This is really what 50 days of hCG does to you. You shrink all over and you look healthy and not gaunt or emaciated.

No loss since yesterday. I can't image it was due to my worse cheating day to date. Not too bad if you can REALLY cheat and hold steady on the weight. For lunch I had Chicken Salad, with lettuce, cucumber, Lynn's delicious tomato/radish dressing, a grapefruit and grissini's. For dinner I cheated again.

march 6, 2008 - day 50 (weight 217.6-down 40.9)

Down another 0.8 lbs. This is becoming a trend. BTW, if I lose another 0.8 lbs today, I will be exactly halfway to my goal of 175 lbs. My average loss is 0.78 lbs, which will go up if I can keep from cheating. My goal weight is trending to be April 26th - I can hardly wait. I am almost out of hCG solution, so I will be mixing up a batch this weekend. Guess I'll do another 10,000 IU., and film it. This will be my final recommendation for mixing and for supplies, including all the lesson's learned. I haven't been doing skip days since with the sublingual solution you aren't supposed to get immunity like with the shots. I will be skipping 2 days next week so I don't have to travel with solution - evening on the 11th, the 12th and morning on the 13th. I was hoping to be 210 lbs by March 11th, but unless something drastic happens, I won't make it. I had taco salad for lunch with an apple and grissini's. For dinner I cheated.

Down 0.8 lbs again, 40.1 lbs overall now, in 48 days. For lunch I had a chicken salad, with lettuce, tomatoes, Lynn's special dressing, and an apple and grissini's. For dinner I had taco salad, an aple and grissini's. No cheating today!

Down 0.8 lbs from yesterday. Had chicken salad with lettuce, tomatoes and cucmbers, an apple and grissini's for lunch. Has 93/7 ground sirloin for dinner, with asparagus, grapefruit and grissini's. No cheating!!

Down 1 pound from yesterday. I didn't cheat for the first day in sometime. Had chicken salad, with tomatoes and lettuce for lunch again with Lynn's special dressing - yum. Also grapefruit and grissini's. Had Taco salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cucmbers and 93/7 ground sirloin with taco seasoning, and a grapefuit. Instead of grissini's I had noodles. I figured if I was going to break the diet, I'd do an exchange and try to limit the damage.

march 2, 2008 - day 46 (weight 221.0-down 37.5)

Down 0.2 pounds even with the cheating. Had a chicken salad with lettuce and a new salad dressing Lynn whipped up for lunch and dinner, with grapefruit and grissini's. She juiced a tomato, radishes, water and spices in the blender. It was great. Miss salad dressing so much and this is all out of allowed stuff and pretty low in calories as well. I will post the exact recipe when she gives it to me.

No weight loss. Had steak, salad with tomato, grapefruit and grissini's for lunch. Had turkey lunchmeat and tomotoes for dinner and some cookies and candy bars. Me-so-bad!
